Ethan Hetu - Founder and Head Scout

Message from Ethan:

"For years now, I've been obsessed with knowing and having an opinion on every hockey player on the planet. While that overarching pursuit is still a work in progress, I am fully confident that I know the entire top level/AAAA depth chart for every NHL organization, as well as their top 10 prospects, completely by heart. I try to watch a game a night, and have notebook after notebook filled with endless pages of impressions that I get from watching those games and observing the players.

I have an everlasting love for the game of hockey and analyzing everyone participating in it. I want to share that love with the internet, and that's what HockeyAtlas is for. This database scouting reports is my way of making something positive out of my love for the game that everyday fans can use.

This project is a large one, but as we work through team after team I hope we can bring a more clear understanding of our game's players to fans around the world. That's my goal.

So have fun exploring just how deep your favorite team really is, and I truly hope you learn something. "

George Nicholson - Vice President of Scouting

(Teams written: Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Winnipeg Jets)

Message from George:

"As a longtime hockey fan, I’d noticed for a while the lack of accurate scouting reports for NHL players and prospects online. While there are many websites dedicated to “grading” players, I believe that in a sport as fast paced and strategic as hockey, a player’s value can’t simply be summarized by a grade or stat line. I jumped on the opportunity to write for HockeyAtlas so I could help to build the internet’s most detailed and informative hockey database while providing reports that can be helpful for new fans and diehards alike."

Brandon Hetu - Senior Website Architect

Message from Brandon:

"HockeyAtlas is a truly unique endeavor. What we strive to do is provide the hockey fan, from the casual fan to the fanatic, with up-to-date, concise, and clear analysis on every player, on every team. The player descriptions written by our writers sets HockeyAtlas apart from important databases like Hockeydb or HockeyReference. My role at HockeyAtlas is to create a visually pleasing website filled with a multitude of equally impressive pages and reports for every player."

Alejandro Astudillo - Senior Financial Manager and Associate Web Architect

Message from Alejandro:

"For years, I've had an incredibly deep interest in soccer, knowing players from teams across the world, and so much more. Recently, I've become so interested in hockey that I've wanted to do the same thing - learn. Working on HockeyAtlas, whether it be through managing the site's financial numbers or through editing its many pages, enables me to learn and, in turn, provides me with the ability to help hockey fans both new and old to do the same"

Message from Michael:
"I've always found myself working on one design project or another. The chance to work at HockeyAtlas has been an amazing opportunity. My goal was to first design a fully interactive map for users to interact with, and now I'm working on a full website redesign with a smoother interface. Hopefully my work has made HockeyAtlas a more enjoyable experience for everyone, and I'm grateful for the chance to be a part of this community."

Luke Kabbash - Head of Marketing and Advertising

Message from Luke:

"I joined the Hockey Atlas team shortly after launch. Once I saw the sheer man hours Ethan put into the project, I wanted to help. My addition to the team brings some basic search engine optimization and marketing talents, and hope to expand the website’s following so that the team’s work can be seen by everyone who has a passion for hockey. I personally haven’t been a longtime hockey fan, but in the last few years I’ve began going to more and more games. The HockeyAtlas has made the game easier to understand, and I’m excited to get more into the sport!"

Message from Sam:

"I got involved in Hockey Atlas because I have loved Hockey ever since I was a little kid but never thought about it in the same way I thought about other sports. Helping with Hockey Atlas allowed me to learn more about the players and more about the game itself. I am very grateful that I have been able to help and the process of assisting with Hockey Atlas has been an amazing way to learn more about the sport. I strongly recommend that if someone wants to learn more about something, they should try and find something to work on, rather than attempting to learn from the outside."
