PETR MRAZEK - Goalie - 27 - $3.125MM - UFA in 2021-2022
LAST UPDATED 7/25/19
After struggling with an incredible amount of inconsistency since breaking out in the 2015-16 season, Mrazek seems to have found his place in Carolina. Under the careful watch of veteran backup Curtis McElhinney, Mrazek was able to give Carolina 40 starts of .914/2.39 hockey. Those are starter-level numbers, and while we don't quite know if those numbers would hold up given a starter's workload, the talent has always been there for Mrazek to be a starting goalie. He seems to have figured out what cast him out of Detroit and kept him from sticking in Philadelphia, and if that's the case, Carolina will have a starting goalie on their hands. As always, goalies are impossible to project, but Mrazek seems to have figured things out, so like I always say, I wouldn't bet against him.
