PETER CEHLARIK

PETER CEHLARIK - Left Winger - 23 - Drafted 2013 #90 Overall

LAST UPDATED 2/6/19
Cehlarik is one of the many fringe-type, top-9 potential prospects in the Bruin’s system. The team's 3rd round pick in 2013, Cehlarik came over from Sweden after the 2015-2016 season and has been a great offensive player for Providence but has been spotty in brief NHL appearances. While he plays a solid all-around offensive game, Cehlarik’s size (6’3, 202) also allows him to play with a bit of a physical edge, although he isn't one too be too scrappy. Cehlarik uses his offensive talent mostly to score goals, scoring at about a 30 goal pace in his AHL career while demonstrating slightly above average playmaking ability. With many teams, Cehlarik would probably have received longer looks in the NHL, but the surplus of prospects of his caliber in the Bruins' system has blocked his path to the NHL. If Cehlarik is able to seize his next opportunity with the Bruins, he could establish himself as a solid third line scorer, a projection that still seems possible for him.
