OSCAR LINDBERG - Center - 27 - $1.7MM Cap Hit - UFA in 2019-2020
LAST UPDATED 6/19/18
Part of the trade that sent Mark Stone to Vegas, Oscar Lindberg has never been an exciting NHL player. He makes good choices, covers his bases defensively, and is able to chip in offensively if needed. (to a reasonable degree) He'll never score 20 goals or 40 points, but he'll be someone coaches can trust for ~12 solid minutes a night of responsible but unimpressive play. He's got decent size and is a plus skater, so he can fit on a fourth line when he plays hungry, but when he's on a rebuilding club he loses some of the fire that he had in his early days on the Rangers. At this point, he's a solid (if cheap) fourth line asset for a contending team or simply third line roster filler for a rebuilding team that needs some veterans to give the team some smart minutes.
