Rielly is a puck-moving defenseman, Rielly has found his game early in his tenure in Montreal following a trade from Minnesota. Finally given a chance at some consistent ice time, Reilly has shown that he can be a solid NHL blueliner. He's not adept defensively, but he has the right positioning and isn't a liability. Offensively, he's good at transitioning the puck up the ice and utilizing his skating to create chances. He's most likely a #5-6 right now, but with a good partner he might be able to fit into the top-4. At 25, though, time isn't on his side.
