KYLE KEYSER

KYLE KEYSER - Goalie - 19 - Undrafted

LAST UPDATED 2/17/19
After spending two seasons in the OHL as a backup goalie for the Flint Firebirds and Oshawa Generals, Keyser went undrafted in the 2017 NHL draft. However, Keyser’s play was enough to inspire the Bruin’s brass to offer him a spot in the teams 2017 rookie camp, where he blew team scouts away with his side-to-side movement and excellent vision, ultimately earning a 3-year entry level deal. The Bruins returned Keyser to the Generals for the 2017-2018 season, where he showed some minor improvement given a bigger workload. However, Keyser has broken out in 2018-2019, posting a 2.71 GAA and .916 SVPCT with Oshawa (in an offense happy OHL) and performing like a high-quality goaltending prospect. While Keyser’s game will undoubtedly take some time to develop and, as with most goalies, there’s a decent-to-high chance he doesn’t pan out, Keyser has the potential to become a starting goaltender in the NHL, making him a valuable asset for the Bruins especially considering his draft status. (Or lack thereof)
