KIEFFER BELLOWS - Left Winger - 20 - Drafted 2016 #19 Overall
LAST UPDATED 1/16/19
As the product of strong NHL bloodlines, Bellows has cemented himself as one of the Islanders' top prospects. While his development path has been inconsistent (he switched from the NCAA route to the CHL route in 2017-18) Bellows has still progressed his game to the point of being nearly NHL ready. As the star for Canada in the 2018 World junior championships, (with 9 goals in 7 games) Bellows is never one to shy away from a big moment. He plays a powerful game, and his strength is complemented by a strong shot and good puck protection skills. If he can improve his skating and his AHL production, he can have a strong career as an impact top-6 power forward.
