JOSH BROOK - Defenseman - 19 - Drafted 2017 #56 Overall
LAST UPDATED 12/10/18
Brook, a defense-first defenseman, has developed well since his selection in the 2nd round of the 2017 draft. Although he is more of a stay-at-home guy, his production in Moose Jaw suggests he likely has ~30 point upside at the NHL level. His skating is fine, and his stickwork is great in his own end, as he's adept at creating turnovers to kill scoring chances. His upside is likely as a top-4 defensive guy, who can play on the first penalty kill and chip in some points here and there. As a play style comparison, (not talent comparison obviously because Brook is 19) think Alec Martinez.
