Ylonen is a Finnish winger whose biggest asset is his speed and elusiveness as a skater. He's a good puck handler, but not elite. He needs to add more muscle as he progresses through Liiga. It's still unknown how he adjusts to smaller North American rinks given he uses his speed to create much of his offense, but if he can adjust well and continue to develop, he can become a good top-6 scoring winger.
