Pivonka, the son of former NHL-er Michal Pivonka, is a high-floor, low-ceiling prospect. He's a high character player, with an incredible work ethic, and he never takes shifts off. He's a very safe prospect, given his defensively-oriented play style, smarts, and decent skating he's a safe bet to at least make the NHL in some capacity. His upside is likely capped at a 3rd-line energy player, but as a later-round pick, that's decent value. He just needs to develop his offense more to more securely ensure he has future NHL viability.
