Drafted straight out of high school, Gorniak is an extremely raw prospect. Gorniak is a speedy skater, and he utilizes that to create most of his chances. He's not an amazing playmaker, so it's worrying that he's so reliant on his speed for his offense. Gorniak is fine defensively, and is still developing physically. As a high school prospect, he's far away from the NHL, so it'll be at least a year or two before we really get a sense of who Gorniak is as a prospect. He's a long-term project.
