JACK BECKER - Center - 21 - Drafted 2015 #195 Overall
LAST UPDATED 2/6/19
A 6’4 center who was the 195th overall selection out of high school in 2015, Becker is currently playing in the NCAA with the University of Michigan. While a bit of a project, Becker uses his size to his advantage, playing a gritty, physical game. Becker will probably play 4 seasons with Michigan, and at the end of his NCAA career the Bruins will probably reassess where they see Becker relative to their prospect pool. Long term, the best case scenario for Becker would be developing into a physical 3rd line center, though he’ll probably wind up a 4th liner or AAAA player going forward if he can manage to crack the NHL. But, to do that, he will need to continue to play a strong physical game as well as continue to develop his tools so that his skating and instincts are at a point where they're viable enough for him to be an NHL option.
