After a stellar career for AHL Bridgeport, Toews finally got his call up to the show and has generally impressed. He has shown flashes of offensive skill as he continues to adjust to a faster paced game, and defensively he is already being counted on to play difficult minutes. He's a good skater and is able to help out in the transition game. While he doesn't have the elite tools necessary to be a top-pairing defenseman, Toews looks like a safe bet to be a consistent top-4 dman in the near future.
