BRYAN LITTLE - Right Winger - 31 - $5.29MM Cap Hit - UFA in 2024-2025
LAST UPDATED 9/1/19
Since he made his debut for the Atlanta Thrashers in 2007-2008, Brian Little has been one of his franchise's most beloved players. He's never been an overwhelming talent on either end of the ice, but he's brought class, consistency, and reasonable levels of skill to both the offense and the defense, even if he hasn't always been healthy. In fact, some of his best years were plagued by injuries, as the years where he's posted the best point-per-game marks he's consistently failed to play more than 60 games. That all being said, he's still a valuable NHL player. Little is a pass-first offensive player, and he has decent puck skills and above-average offensive awareness. As a result, he can be a capable middle-6 creator on his own and his talents are best maximized by strong-shooting linemates. Discipline defines Little's game, and he's gotten down-ballot Lady Byng trophy consideration in his career. He's a diligent defensive player, always a capable backchecker and a willing penalty killer. He won't suffocate an elite offensive producer, but he'll give them a hard time and will be a stabilizing presence on the ice. He's a plus on both ends of the ice and he can still produce 40+ points, making him a low-end 2C and a high-end 3C.
