BRADY TKACHUK - Left Winger - 19 - $.925MM Cap Hit - RFA in 2021-2022
LAST UPDATED 6/20/19
The 4th overall pick in the 2018 NHL draft, Brady Tkachuk was a rare bright spot on Ottawa’s disastrous 2018-19 season. The Senators loved Tkachuk so much during the draft that they were willing to part with their potential #1 selection in the 2019 draft to pick him. Luckily for the Senators, despite finishing last they did not win the Jack Hughes sweepstakes, and Tkachuk had a superb rookie season where he garnered some Calder consideration. Tkachuk plays with that signature Tkachuk grit that his father and his brother both played/play with. He’s physical, scrappy, willing to go to the dirty areas of the ice and adept at getting under his opponents’ skin. He plays a powerful game, is strong on the puck, and shoots with the consistency of a 30 goal scorer. If his brother’s success with the Calgary Flames is any indication, Tkachuk looks to be a future elite first line power forward, with the potential to be everything his father was, if not more.
