ANTON BLIDH - Left Winger - 23 - Drafted 2013 #180 Overall
LAST UPDATED 2/6/19
The Bruins' 6th round pick in 2013, Blidh has struggled to make it full time on the Bruins roster. Blidh’s no skill player; he has a below average shot and mediocre skating, but where he earns his role is through his physical play. During his longest stint with Boston, a 19 game stay with the team at the end of the 2016-2017 season, Blidh registered 41 hits, good for third on the team in that span. Unfortunately, that stint in the NHL also exposed Blidh’s offensive struggles, as he registered just 2 points. Since then, Blidh has been stuck in Providence (AHL) save for one game in 2018, and while his physical play could potentially earn him a role on the Bruin’s 4th line, it’s more likely he remains a fringe winger and it’s very possible that Boston non-tenders his contract in the coming offseason.
