Alain, an undrafted forward, scored well in his final (overage) season in junior for the QMJHL powerhouse Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. Given that he only really scored well as an overager, its unlikely that his 87 points in 65 games carry over into the pro ranks. Alain plays a very defensive game, and he does so adequately. In AHL Laval, he has seemed capable of penalty killing, as well as centering a line that can handle tough defensive assignments. His ceiling is probably as a shutdown 4C, if his skating and production can improve, but given his draft pedigree and current situation on a terrible AHL team, it's more of just a possibility than a probability.
